MANSE COMMITTEE

HILLCREST MANSE COMMITTEE April 2024

The Manse Committee is made up of four members who report to the Executive Committee of the Montague Pastoral Charge and the Board of Stewards & Trustees.

The current members are:
David White Representing               Hillcrest Congregation
Charlotte Conrad Representing Sturgeon Congregation
Sandra MacDonald     Representing               UCW
John LeLacheur          Representing               S & T

In 2020 an Energy Audit was carried out at the manse and identified upgrades that could be carried out to improve the efficiency of the manse.

Recent maintenance and upgrades that have been carried out are: 2022

The interior walls and ceilings were painted.
Four exterior doors were replaced with energy efficient steel doors.

2023

The south side and east end exterior walls were painted. Due to weather conditions, painting of the remaining walls has been delayed until next year.
A new steel roof was installed.

2024

Two heat pumps were installed.

Additional upgrades planned for 2024 are to complete painting of the exterior walls and to replace eight basement windows with energy efficient windows.
